Artifact: Grant Proposal

 

Justification: Through the development of a grant proposal, I worked to look for technology for my district that would help to expand learning as well as be cost effective. Through writing this proposal for the Hummingbird Project, I felt that I saw and understood how developing this project for example could be available in the district for more than 10 years. Through looking at cost effective and assessing what would meet the district's needs, I felt that I am rated as "exceeds."

 

 

 

I.A.2. Design and production of media including projected and non-projected visual aids, audio and video production in both analog and digital forms, and photography using film-based and digital formats

Artifact:  Despicable Me Minion Mistakes poster

 

Justification: Through developing a Despicable Me Minion Mistakes poster, I have continued to show my skills in creating a creative instructional piece of work that can be used in a classroom. Through my work with Photoshop, I understand how to create using creativity in the process in order to make an instructional poster to educate and engage students. I have rated myself as Advanced due to my ability to use Photoshop expertly in order to create authentic artwork in a educational setting. Due to my experience with Adobe Photoshop, I am sound in rating myself at this rating. With multiple classes and opportunities to create photos using this software, I have the ability to use this software to its full capabilities.

 

 

 

 

I.A.3. Implementation and maintenance of interactive information systems, the Internet, distance learning technologies, and networks

Artifact: Blackboard Collaborate and GoToTrainings

 

Justification: Through being able to use and communicate through these two means of academic communication, I feel that I can be rated as "exceeds." Through working with Blackboard Collaborate and GoToTrainings for more than four years, I have developed the ability to communicate with peers as well as professors. 

 

 

 

 

 

I.A. 4. Assistive technology resources for students with special needs

Artifact: Mission, Vision, and Goals

 

Justification:  Through developing a district's Mission, Vision and Goals, I feel that I have been able to see how technology can assist and help children with disabilities. Through the ability for my team to acknowledge and see how important looking beyond the general populace in a school, I feel our district would be very successful in assisting children with special needs. 

 

 

 

 

I.A.5. Evaluation of the performance of hardware and software components of computer systems

Artifact: Hyperbook

 

Justification: I became advanced in exploring various levels of software components. Through my knowledge of SmartBoards, Promethean Boards, iPads, and Apple TVs, I feel sound in rating myself for the ability to understand and operate this equipment. In relation to software, I understand systems such as webquests, Interactive PowerPoints, Hyperbooks, and many others. I have attached my Hyperbook as an example of my understanding of software.

 

 

 

 I.A.6. Application of basic troubleshooting strategies

Artifact: Web Design

 

Justification: Through designing the district's website, Builders Elementary, I was able to show how I am able to troubleshoot through web design. I felt that I was exceeds through my ability through the program to design several websites throughout the program.
