V.A.1. Uses data from multiple sources including PSSA and PVAS in forming decisions, utilizing resources, setting targets, and interpreting results aimed at continuous improvement in student achievement, curriculum, personnel and/or programs

Rating: Exceeds

Artifact: PLC meetings at Baker Elementary School in Upper St. Clair School District and Recommendation letter from

Mr. David Fee, Upper St. Clair School District

Justification:  Through PLC meetings at Baker Elementary School, all of the fourth grade teachers including myself looked at data in the Pearson Math series Envision and sought to see how we could improve test scores. By looking at data and evaluating how students could be successful, I feel that I can rate myself as exceeds. I feel that Mr. David Fee's letter of recommendation exemplifies this idea as well.

V.A.2. Accesses and interprets data from available technologies and resources to address long-term and strategic planning needs of the school in areas of student achievement, personnel, fiscal operations, facilities, technology and/or other school district initiatives

Rating:  Exceeds

Artifact: Grant Proposal

Justification: I have rated myself as exceeds because I feel that I am able to strategically plan for new technologies to come into the district to ensure that student's achievement will grow. Through developing a grant for the Hummingbird project, I feel that a school district would benefit from this plan.

V.A.3. Compares data from local, state and national sources to develop an action plan designed to enhance student success

Rating:  Meets

Artifact: PLC Meeting at Stratton Elementary and Common Planning Meetings at Stratton Elementary

Justification: I rated myself as meets in this category because I feel as a second year teacher I am still learning how to disseminate information from local to state. From Common Planning to PLCs, I have worked with my two administrators to make make mastery matrixes as well as look at standard growth percentile to see how many students are growing above a 60% growth rate. As I continue to teach, I feel that my rating will get stronger.

V.A.4. Communicates an action plan to a select group of stakeholders that is responsive to how data is presented and the implications of information dissemination

Rating:  Meets

Artifact: PLC Meetings at Stratton Elementary and Common Planning Meetings at Stratton Elementary

Justification: I rated myself as meets in this category because I feel as a second year teacher I am still learning how to communicate to stakeholders data. From parent conferences to data conferences such as Common Planning, I am learning how to orient myself in giving data results that are both negative and positive.
